Mary T. Puppo

Mary Puppo, 103, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2023.
Mary was born in Corning, New York, in 1919. After her marriage to Joseph Puppo, the couple
moved to New Jersey in 1946, where they raised their family. Mary was multi-talented and held
a number of different positions over her working life. Her first job was working in a library, and
she also worked in retail and ultimately retired from the banking industry in 1982. After
retirement, the couple moved to Norton, Ohio, to be closer to their growing family.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Domenica Diana; four brothers; one
sister; husband Joseph; and granddaughter Tracey Snyder Beard. She is survived by her
daughters, Terri Snyder (Doug) and Brenda Klinger (Tim); granddaughters Michelle Stoddard
(Bob) and Elizabeth Klinger; great-grandchildren Louis Royster (Carrie), Nicole Beretics (Rob),
Camille Burkhammer (Jerry), Ashlee Sharpless (Grant), Taylor Stoddard, Rachel Stoddard, and
Mason Stoddard; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Village at St. Edward’s Fairlawn, especially the
nurses and aides on the second floor of Nursing Care, as well as Summa Health Hospice.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Prince of
Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Norton, Fr. Robert Jackson celebrant. Visitation
will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
