Michael Krunich

NORTON---Michael Krunich, 78, passed away October 10, 2012 at the Hospice Care Center with his family by his side. Born in Barberton, Mike was an area resident all his life where he retired from the United States Post Office after 30 years of service. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and K.S.K.J. Lodge 110. He was also an avid golfer, hunter and loved horse racing. Mike was also a proud Navy Veteran having served on the USS Hornet. Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Mary A. (nee Skerl); sons Marty, Mick (Connie), Tom (Lori), Jerry (Anita) and Gary (Michelle); grandchildren Corey, Lindsey, Steven, Cole and Kiara; and sisters Mildred Garren and Katherine Durieux. Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Norton. Fr. Robert Jackson celebrant. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling Hours Friday from 5-8 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Road West, Barberton, where prayers will be said Saturday morning at 9:30 A.M.
