Monica Elizabeth Mcardle

BARBERTON / NEW FRANKLIN -- Monica Elizabeth McArdle, 78, passed away March 31, 2011 at Summa Barberton Hospital. She was born in Barberton, where she was a life resident. She was a member of the former SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church and a member of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Assn. #415. She was preceded in death by husband, Harry M. McArdle; brothers, Jerome, Joseph and Michael Tomasik. Survivors include sons, Patrick (Beverly) McArdle, Michael T., and Dennis, all of Barberton, Thomas of Wadsworth; daughters, Colleen McArdle (Charles Lallathin) of Akron, Eileen (Clifford) Poole of Cornersville, Tenn., Elizabeth Dyer of Wadsworth, Marie McArdle of Akron, Sheila (David) Lastocy of Harrisburg, Va., and Maureen Westfall of Charlotte, N.C.; 20 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Aubrecht of Flagler Beach, Fla., Elizabeth (Freddie) Hornsby of St. Augustine, Fla., and Mary Frances Tomasik of Florida. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2011 at St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church, Fr. David Bline, celebrant. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday, April 3, 2011 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberotn, where prayers will be said Monday morning at 9 a.m.
