Nancy Ann Neitz

BARBERTON---Nancy A. Neitz, 70, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2013 at her residence after a long battle with cancer.


Nancy was born in Barberton and was a 1961 graduate of Norton High School. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church where she helped with the funeral luncheons for many years and also the Halloween and New Years Eve dances for over 19 years. Nancy volunteered at the Akron Blind Center and Barberton Hospital and was involved with the prayer shawl ministries at Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Catholic Church. She was also a member of Threadbenders in Uniontown.


Preceded in death by her brother John Adamich; Survivors include her loving husband of 52 years, Elmer H.; sons Robert (Brenda) of Charlottesville, Virginia and Thomas (Celia) of Monroe, Louisiana; grandchildren Joshua, Jeffrey and Carly Neitz; and sister Sally (Timothy) Houk of Fairlawn.


Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204-6th St. NW., Barberton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Summa, 444 N. Main St., Akron, OH 44310.
