Norma Jean (Bland) Kent

Norma Jean Kent (nee Bland) was born on January 9, 1935 and passed away peacefully after a brief illness with her family by her side on March 18, 2025.

Norma spent the final years of her life at the Apostolic Christian Home, where her caregivers treated her with as much love and dignity as anyone could hope for. She also enjoyed many friendships while there.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband Harvey Kent; and children Jeannie Pniewski, Victor Hughes and Sherry Hughes. She leaves behind her children David Hughes (Sue), Lynda Pniewski (Wendell), Dan Hughes (Marge), Kyle Kent (Diane) and Kyleen Kent; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and sister Evelyn Kopp.

Viewing and Visitation for Norma will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Private Family Burial will take place on Saturday at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Apostolic Christian Home, 10680 Steiner Rd., Rittman, OH 44270, in Norma's name.
