Pamela S. (Riffle) Kurilko

Pamela S. Kurilko (née Riffle), 71, of Barberton, Ohio, passed away on February 20, 2025. Born on July 31, 1953, to the late Paul R. and Marion A. Riffle, Pam was a vibrant woman who was dedicated to her career while still enjoying a fulfilling work-life balance. She had a joy for life, her many hobbies, and her loved ones.

Pam was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kurt A. Kurilko. She is survived by her brother, Paul J. Riffle, and his wife, Kimberly A. Riffle of West Virginia; niece Sarah E. Baker of Myrtle Beach, SC; nephew Michael Baker and his wife, Brittany of Ranson, WV; and great-nephew Benjamin Z. Baker, also of Ranson, West Virginia. She is also survived by her in-laws, Albert and Carole Kurilko; brothers-in-law Robert, Todd and Travis Kurilko; sisters-in-law Karen Mihal and Stacey Snow; and her beloved dog, Toby.

Pam will be deeply missed by her closest friends, Vickey and Dennis Heberlein, as well as her many other cherished coworkers and friends.

Pam had many simple joys in life. She adored scenic drives to Amish country, collecting cookbooks, and had a true passion for horses and dogs. Her truest passion, however, lay in her work. She was a dedicated and respected member of the Design Engineer group at BWXT, where she brought her expertise and commitment every day. She was a lifelong learner who valued education and was deeply interested in mapping the political and social landscape, keen to engage in thoughtful discussions and analysis.

Pam’s legacy of dedication, diligence and commitment will be remembered by all whose lives she touched.

Pam's calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Barberton Area Community Ministries (B.A.C.M.), 939 Norton Ave., Barberton, 44203.
