Patricia K. (Kelly) Bell

BARBERTON - Patricia (Patty) Kelly Bell, 60, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 14, 2022. As a lifelong resident of Barberton, OH, Patty attended St. Augustine School, followed by high school at St. Vincent-St. Mary in Akron, graduating in 1980. She met the love of her life, Keith D. Bell, a few years later, and the two happily married in 1985. They had three beautiful daughters: Julia, Elizabeth, and Theresa, whom Patty continued to raise diligently after Keith passed away in 1993. Patty will finally be reunited in heaven with her husband, Keith; along with her parents, John Gerard and Helen Kelly; her brother, John Kelly; and her niece, Amanda Suso. Those she leaves behind to celebrate her memory are her three daughters, Julia (Ryan) Syroid, Elizabeth (Brandon) Petit, and Theresa (Nick) Cianchetti; grandchildren, Connor and Allison Syroid, and Riley and Mia Cianchetti; her siblings, Kathy Kelly, Tom Kelly, Jim (Jules) Kelly, Gina Kelly, Shelia (Dave) Roberts, Mary (Tom) Glass, Ann (Paul) Suso, and Margaret (John) Sarlouis; sister-in-law, Anna Marie Kelly; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was devoted to her Catholic faith and her commitment to her parish. Not only did she choose to send her daughters to St. Augustine School, she was also an active member of the parish, most notably through her involvement with the Holy Hour Program and the Saturday afternoon rosary. She was a dedicated Holy Hour member for over 25 years and a Holy Hour Captain for the last ten. Patty loved watching movies, baseball (the Yankees and Reds!), and football (the Bengals and THE Ohio State!). Her greatest joy, though, came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whose enthusiasm and energy helped keep Patty young and smiling. Her kindness, compassion, and willingness to help others were unparalleled and will never be forgotten by all those who have had the privilege of knowing her. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 22, 2022 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204-6th St. NW. Barberton. Calling Hours Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Memorials can be made to the St. Augustine Endowment Fund c/o St. Augustine Church.
