Pauline "Polly" E. Travis


CLINTON---Pauline "Polly" E. Travis, 85, passed away February 5, 2011 at Summa Barberton Hospital.


Born in Wheeling, West Virginia, she had been a Clinton resident for the past 52 years where she retired as a Registered Nurse from Barberton Citizens Hospital after 30 years of service. Polly was a member of the former SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church and the Akron Women's Civic Club.


Preceded in death by her husband Al in 2008; Survivors include her daughter Heidi (Terry) Faix of Clinton; son Richard (Shelia) Travis of Indianapolis, IN; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.


Memorial Mass will be held Friday, February 11, 2011, 1:00 P.M. at SS. Philip and James Catholic Church, 532 High St. NE, Canal Fulton. Private inurnment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
