Peter D. Beck

BARBERTON---Peter D. Beck, 91, passed away June 19, 2013 at the Hospice Care Center in Copley. Born in Barberton where he was a life resident, Pete retired from PPG Industries with over 40 years of service. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Pete was a proud Marine Corps veteran having served during WWII.


Preceded in death by his wife Dorothy; son Pete and siblings John, Jim, Mary Lou, Joanne and Bill; Survivors include his children David Beck of Norton, Donna Menendez of Uniontown, Sandra Kellar of Barberton and Paul Beck of Orrville; grandchildren Gregory (Julie) Menendez, Douglas (Katie) Menendez, Stephanie (Dave) Seccombe, Matthew Beck, Amber Beck; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Eleanor Beck and numerous nieces and nephews.


The family would like to give special thanks to Pete's Visiting Angels, Gina and Brenda; and Angie his health aide for the care given to their father.


Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 22, 2013, 10 am, at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling Hours Friday 4 to 7pm.
