Peter R. Rosio

BARBERTON---Peter R. Rosio, 89, passed away May 6, 2014.


Born in Falls Creek, PA he had been a Barberton resident most of his life where he retired from Goodyear Aerospace after 37 years of service. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church where he was active in the Holy Hour program. Pete enjoyed golfing and gardening and was a past president of the Barberton Gardening Club. He was also a proud Navy Veteran having served during WWII.


Preceded in death by his wife Ethel; and grandson Reuben Ellin; Survivors include his children John (Brenda) Beitenman, Leslie (Rob Ellin) Rosio and Curt (Roberta) Rosio; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and sister Katie Sycalik.


Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 A.M. on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUENRAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling Hours Friday from 4-7 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
