Richard P. Borsos

BARBERTON---Richard P. Borsos. 80, passed away May 8, 2015 following a brief illness.

Dick proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS Mississippi (EAG-128). He worked as a union carpenter for over 40 years. He was a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. An avid sports fan and golfer, he also enjoyed bowling, polka music, dancing and his twice a week card games.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Eva; brothers Chuck, Ernie, George and John; Survivors include his sons Rick of Hurst, Texas and Brian (Laurie) of Cuyahoga Falls; sister Mary Ann (Don) Hawes of Pomona, CA; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and his faithful friend and much loved dog Rocky.

His family would like to thank National Church Residences and Hospice of Summa for their care and compassion during his illness.

Calling hours will be held from 6-8 P.M. on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Private Graveside Services will be held on Thursday at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Deacon Robin Adair officiating.
