Richard E. Culp

NORTON---Richard E. Culp, 81, passed away March 19, 2016 at the VNS Hospice Care Center.

Richard was born in Akron and had been an area resident all his life where he retired from At&t.

He was very active with the Norton Alumni and Classmates Group, the Norton Kiwanis Club, Norton Grange, Masonic Lodge #83 and the Telephone Foreman’s Club and Pioneer’s. Richard was also a proud Navy Veteran.  His favorite hobby was working outdoors and enjoying breakfast with his friends.

Preceded in death by his parents Chester and Virginia; and sister Shirley; He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Judith A; sons David and Robert (Yvonne); daughter Diane (Eric) Vaughan; grandchildren Mike Culp and Brittany, Chloe, Olivia and Jaime Vaughan; sister Pat (Nick) LaMonica; many nieces and nephews; and his Crispin cousins.

In honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no calling hours or services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VNS Hospice, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, 44333.
