Richard L. Getz

Richard L. Getz, 80, passed away with his family by his side on March 2, 2023.

Richard was born in Barberton where he was a life resident and worked at Barberton Electronics and Pinkerton Security.

Preceded in death by his son-in-law Daniel Smosney; He is survived by his loving wife, Cecelia M. (nee Smith); sons Robert (Penny) Getz, Richard (Jodi) Getz and Jody Smith; daughter Brenda Smosney; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers; three sisters; brother-in-law Harry Smith; and sister-in-law Carol Humphrey.

Richard’s Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Private burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
