Ricky A. Mikolay

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Ricky A. Mikolay on September 18, 2026 at the age of 70 (or forever 57 to some). Ricky is survived by his wife Anna Mikolay (Zastawnik) and his 3 daughters, Meghan Turner (Mikolay) (Jeffrey Turner), Krista Mikolay (Daniel Patterson) and Ashley Mikolay (James Patton). He leaves behind 2 Grandchildren who adored their Pop Pop as much as he did them. He also leaves behind his 2 brothers, Joe Mikolay (Julie) and Tommy Mikolay (Cheryl); and his sister Denise Edwards (Joseph Edwards) along with many nieces and nephews.

Ricky liked to take walks when he could and loved to read anything from non-fiction to sci-fi in his spare time. He had special interests in Clipper Ships and American History. May he be remembered for his generous spirit, his determination, his optimism and the many ways he made others always feel welcome.

A celebration of life to honor Ricky's life will be held at a later date to be announced. We ask that you share your most special memories so everyone may enjoy the many stories I am sure you have.
