Robert Wallace Allega

CLINTON---Robert Wallace Allega was granted his angel wings on May 23, 2010, after fighting a lifelong battle with cerebral palsy. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Bobby had touched in some small way, throughout his short, yet very memorable life. Bobby was born June 12, 2008 in Akron, OH. Bobby smiled often, played hard and brought joy to all he met. He briefly attended CALICO preschool in Tallmadge, OH. He enjoyed music, loved balloons and dogs and adored his brother. He will be missed by his family and friends. Bobby is survived by his parents. Clarissa and Michael, twin brother Anthony, grandparents Annette and Andre Boileau, Michael D. Allega, Vickie Allega-Hamilton and Paul Hamilton, aunt Bobbie Allega, great-grandparents Antonin and Marie Boileau and Charlotte Allega, numerous great-aunts and great-uncles and cousins. He will join his great-grandparents Alice and Albert Culp, William Allega and Myrtle and Wallace Holt in heaven. Special thanks to all of Bobby's doctors who helped ease his journey, especially Dr. Mark McCollum, without whose skilled hands we would never have had even this short opportunity to know our son; Jennifer Musson and the entire staff of the Summit DD Board; Hospice of Western Reserve, the nurses on the 7100 unit at Akron Children's Hospital (his home away from home), as well as the dedicated nurses from Children's Home Care Group and Interim Health Care, who staffed his private duty nursing hours at home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday May 28, 2010, 10:00 A.M., at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling Hours 4:30 to 8:30 P.M. Thursday at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton where prayers will be said Friday at 9:30 A.M. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to either the Haslinger Family Pediatric Palliative Care Center at Akron Children's Hospital or to Ronald McDonald House of Akron
