Robert R. Fisk

“Bob, Dad/Pop, Poppy, Uncle Bob/Bobby” passed away peacefully on August 16, 2024, at the age of 80. Bob dedicated his life to his family and providing for them. His family’s needs were a priority for him. He found immense joy in his five granddaughters and served as their personal chauffer for many years. Bob proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War and worked as a pipefitter out of Local 219, in which he was a member for 56 years. He demonstrated the most admirable work ethic, took pride in “doing things right”, and he was a perfectionist. He was NEVER late and was always the first person to make that Happy Birthday call. He ‘called the shots’ and was direct with his plan; even when deciding when it was time for his “forever rest”. We love you “Bob, Dad, Pop, Poppy, Uncle Bob/Bobby”, you left a fingerprint in all our lives.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Geri, of 59 years and their children: Carrie & Kevin Young, Shane Fisk, and Amy & Duane Matheson. His granddaughters and their significant others: Abby & Alex, Emily & Kyle, Jamie, Jordan & Nick, and Jenna. Bob is also survived by his siblings: Jody & Mary Fisk, Jan &Tom Cheatham, Kevin & Mona Fisk, Lee Kimble, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ray & Jean Fisk, and in-laws Gerald and Mary Often.

Private services will be held at a later time at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in his memory.

Bob/Our Dad expressed his appreciation for everyone who cared for him during his stay at Summa Health Hospitals, We are forever grateful.
