Robert E. Hackenberg

BARBERTON---Robert E. Hackenberg "Bob", 69, went home to be with his Lord on November 4, 2012. Born in Barberton he was an area resident most of his life where he worked at Ohio Brass. He was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church in Norton where he served as a Deacon. Bob was also a member of the Sons of the American Revolution Lafayette Chapter where he was the secretary. Bob also spent most of his time being active within his church and researching genealogy. Preceded in death by his parents Robert and Mildred; Survivors include his brother Leroy (Marsha) of Barberton; sister Patricia (Gene) Dyrdek of Kettering, OH; nieces Kim (Scott) Collins, Kelly (Harry) Alexander and Denise (Jason) Lunsford; nephew Rob Dyrdek; great nephews Sean, Cole and Nicholas; great nieces Kara and Kristina; and many friends. A special thank you to his pastor and his church family. Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 9, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Union Missionary Baptist Church, 4131 Swain Rd., Norton, OH 44203. Pastor William J. Moore officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling Hours One Hour Prior to the service all at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the church.
