Robert Lee Kaiser

BARBERTON---Robert Kaiser, 76, joined his wife Patricia Kaiser and son Nicholas Kaiser as our angel on December 1, 2014. Bob was born May 9, 1938 to Peter and Mary Kaiser, Brother of Joseph, Frank (Linda), Magdaline (George), and Barbara. Bob was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Air Force in the 352 Tactical Fighter Wing. Bob was a hard worker working multiple jobs to support his family. Most of his career was spent in the Akron Rubber industry, most recently as a tire builder retiring from Firestone. His retirement lasted a short time and he enjoyed every minute of working part time at Sterling Jewelers. Bob was an amazing Father that had so much love for his children and grandchildren and would always light up with pride telling stories about all of them. He could be found on the dance floor at any and all polka dances whether at the FOP or the Slovene Center. The Saturday morning polka show was a requirement. He loved playing the accordion and his self-taught bass playing. He touched many lives enjoying his many years of coaching little league baseball. His love for good food, fast cars, and the beach and all the special traditions he taught will live on forever through his family. The girls basketball and volleyball stands will be a little quieter without him, but he will root from above and beam with pride. To carry on his legacy, Bob leaves his Daughters Christine (Jim) Centea, Mary (Chester) Howard, Grandchildren Kaitlin and Nicholas Kaiser, Alexa and Lauren Conley, and Catherine Centea. Great Grandchildren Kadence and Kenadie and his special love Judy Teschner along with many extended family members and friends. Friends and family may call on Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 1-3 and 5-7 P.M., with a celebration of his life at 7:00 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Fr. Robert Jackson celebrant. Funeral procession to Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery will begin at 8:45 A.M. Friday, December 5, 2014, at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
