Robert J. Kramer Jr.

Dec 15, 1945 — May 25, 2026

Barberton

Robert John Kramer Jr. aka Bob was born on Saturday, December 15, 1945, to Robert and Mary Kramer Sr. He was the oldest of four siblings. He passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026, in Barberton, Ohio at the age of 80, with his bride and the love of his life, Dolores, by his side.

Bob always referred to his beloved wife of 60 years, Dolores, as his bride. Their life story was truly a love story, always putting her needs first; he always reminded anyone especially his sons-in-law and grandsons or anyone in an earshot a “happy wife, happy life”.

Bob and Dolores’ marriage was blessed with two beautiful daughters Dannielle and Jeannette, sons-in-law Antonio and Bill, grandsons Christopher and Diego, and granddaughter Hannah. He was truly a family man, loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. They all have their special memories of Papaw and a host of funny stories to tell.

Dolores could always be heard saying Bob was the only person she knew where you could drive cross county and he would only say about ten words, probably because he was a known speed demon, catching a good tail wind and making a trip in half the time as the average driver; He may have been a man of few words but when he did have something to say, it usually was something hilarious. And he there was always a funny story to share about some life adventure where he was involved.

He was a gifted thinker, in which we believed there was nothing he could not accomplish, he was also a gifted carpenter, a skill he picked up as a teenager working alongside his Uncle Dick Kramer, where you knew if he built something, it was going to still be standing 100 years from now. He was a devout Catholic, who was known to close his eyes during mass but would remind his daughters, who thought he was sleeping that he was concentrating on what the priest was saying.

In addition to the blessing of family and good friends, in 2014 with 45 years of service, Bob retired from General Motors. Bob and Dolores enjoyed traveling the United States, some of their many trips were with their in-laws and grandsons in tow. They also enjoyed working inside their beautiful homes, since Bob shared a dislike of yardwork which he passed down to his daughters. Bob and Dolores recently returned to Barberton where their story began, again he was able to spend time with his large extended family, see his friends and attend monthly lunches with his Aunt Jo and cousin Amy.

He is survived by his loving wife Dolores (Boron), daughters Dannielle (Antonio) and Jeannette (William), grandchildren Christopher, Diego and Hannah. Brothers Jim (Kathy), Pete, sister Pat (Bob) Latham, brother-in-Law John (Mary) Baker and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
