Robert Michael Parsons, Sr., 79, passed away peacefully, July 23, 2024, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Bertha and Luther Parsons of East Liverpool, Ohio. He is survived his loving wife, Ginger Parsons of Canal Fulton, Ohio; and sister Rose Carson of East Liverpool, Ohio. Also, his children: Rob Parsons Jr. (Samantha), Mary Parsons and Gene Zryini, and Meggie Himes (Rob). He also had step-children: Amy Hite (A.J.), Jason Watson (Gloria), and Sarah Miller (Jeff). Very dear to his heart were his ten grandchildren: Bobby, Abby, Robbie, Cora, Jaden, Dominic, Corinne, Cordelia, Isabella, and Nolan; spending time with them was a high priority of Bob’s. He was very proud of being a principal for thirty years. He spent most of those years in Barberton and “never had a bad day” at work. After retirement, he traveled the world with Ginger to England, Egypt, China, France and many other countries and states in the U.S.A. Besides traveling, he loved to fish, especially in Canada. You could always find Bob at a table playing Euchre, where he thought he was sure to win. Being a very social person, Bob never met a stranger and loved to compliment and tease others. People loved his sense of humor.
Burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Akron, Ohio, with a private ceremony before the burial. A celebration of the joys of his life will take place at a later time. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzeheimers Association, Greater East Ohio Area Chapter, 408-9t St. SW., Suite 3400, Canton, OH 44707
And to all out there, remember, “You are in the will”.
