Robert E. Preto

Robert E. Preto, 67, passed away October 9, 2024 after a 2 year battle with cancer.

Bob was born in Barberton and was an area resident all his life. He retired from Cardinal Rubber Co. after 22 years and was the owner/operator of Preto’s Breakfast and Burgers for 21 years. Bob loved driving and cruising around in his 1975 Dodge Coronet Brougha.

Preceded in death by his daughter Kristen Newman; twin grandchildren Lili and Jonathon; parents Lloyd and Marian; brother Tom; and sister Sandra Adamson. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Vickie; daughter Jessica George; grandchildren Tori Preto, Lani Newman and Collin, Logan and Theodore George; and great-grandchildren Atticus and Lennox.

Bob’s Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling Hours will be on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
