Robert J. Robinson, 'Robby", 78, passed away July 15, 2014. Robby was born in Akron and was a graduate of the Class of 1954 from Kenmore High School. He retired from Akron Tool and Die after 56 years of service. He was a member of Barberton Moose Lodge 759, inducted into the Summit County Softball H.O.F. in 1993 and also was a commissioner on the board for the Softball Hall of Fame. In 2013 he received the Joe Miktarian Service Award. Robby was a devoted father and grandfather and loved watching his sons and grandchildren play sports. He was also a dedicated employee, never missing a day of work. Preceded in death by his parents Robert and Agnes; and sister Roberta Vough; Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Marlene M. (Hrubovcak); sons Robert J. (Chris) of Clinton, Scott A. (Carrie) of Green, Neil E. of Akron and Rick T. (Jennifer) of Memphis; grandchildren Nicole, Brooke, Robby, Avery, Nicholas, Nathan, Nolan, Noah, Owen and Andrew; brother David W. (Norma) of Akron; and other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
