Robert “Bob” Romberger, age 70, passed away on June 23, 2024. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Bob was a Vietnam army veteran who retired after 21 years of service. Following his military service, he owned and operated a trucking company. Bob’s passion was boating and owned many over his life. Bob belonged to the Akron Yacht Club and served as commodore for many years and was a lifetime member. In addition to boating, Bob was always involved in veteran affairs. He was an active member of the Army Navy Garrison 250 club. He served as junior vice and was on the executive board of the veterans organization. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Debbie; children, Kaitlyn Hadley, TJ Hadley, Josh Wilsterman and Cheryl Crum; siblings, Sherry Grace and Tom Micheals; and his nieces/nephews.
A Celebration of Bob’s life will take place at Army Navy Garrison, 2970 N Bender Ave., Akron 44319 on July 27, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. In remembrance, the family is accepting donations to Children of Fallen Patriots (www.fallenpatriots.org).
