Robert A. Weigand

“Duder”, 86, passed away peacefully August 26, 2024 at The Village of St. Edward at Wadsworth where he was a resident the past 3-1/2 years.

He was employed at Seiberling Tire until it closed and then moved onto the Babcock and Wilcox Construction Co. as a planner/scheduler until his retirement.

He enjoyed many activities, especially golf, fishing, playing euchre, boating at Portage Lakes, spending winters in the Villages in Florida, building jigsaw puzzles and of course attending any sporting event he could find.

Duder was preceded in death by his wife Joyce; parents Robert and Katherine; daughter-in-law Christine; and brothers Michael, Tom, Joe and Leo. He is survived by his son Rob; and sisters Katherine (Bob) Doolittle, Rose Mary Weigand and Carol Weigand.

The family wishes to thank the staff at The Village of St. Edward at Wadsworth for their love and exceptional care. A special thank you to Angel, Wendy and Patty in the Memory Care Unit. The love and care you provided dad was truly amazing.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Norton. Fr. Louis Thomas, celebrant. Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling Hours One Hour Prior to the Mass AT THE CHURCH. In lieu of flowers, donations in “Duder’s” name can be made to The Village of St. Edward at Wadsworth, 880 Main St., Wadsworth, OH 44281.
