Sharon Marie Lastocy-Bond

Sharon Lastocy-Bond, 64, of Barberton, OH, passed away surrounded by her family at home on September 23rd, 2013. She was born in Akron, OH and graduated from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. She was preceded in death by her parents Bert and Catherine Lastocy, sister Maureen Lastocy, brother Jeff Lastocy. She is survived by her husband Gene Bond, son Danny (Jen) Wilson, daughters Nikki (Steve) Pierz, Theresa (Shawn) Arnaut and Cyndi (Scott) Wilson-Svab, Step-sons Bradley (Carol) Bond, James (Leslie) Bond, Gregory (Georgette) Bond, Step-Daughter, Margaret Wilson, grandchildren, Mandi, Mindi, Jon, Corey, Cody, Steven (Shawna), Hailey, Ashley, Chance, Elizabeth, Olivia, Brian, Tyler, CJ, Maggie, Justin, Christopher, Christy, Ashley, Alisha, Brandon, and Brittani, sisters Kathy, Sue (Dave) Russo, Micky (Ronnie) Decker, brothers Pat (Nancy) Lastocy, Dave (Sheila) Lastocy, many nieces and nephews and many close friends who meant the world to her. Her enormous heart and selflessness and smile will always be remembered. When you think of her, smile...smile because she soars, no more fighting, no more being sick, she can rest, pain free and healthy. It's been a long time that this angel on Earth needed her wings, and now she has them and she soars. The family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice for their loving care, and also her doctors, and nurses throughout her illness, especially Dr. Burick, Dr. Eagleton and nurse Jane "Celine," Dr. Cutler, and Dr. Eltayeb, who all helped to give our mom the gift of time. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUENRAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton where calling hours will be ONE HOUR PRIOR to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr., Uniontown, OH, 44685.
