Stephen J. Kulcsar, Sr

BARBERTON---Stephen J. Kulcsar, 93, passed away February 18, 2013 at Summa Akron City Hospital.


Steve was born in Barberton where he was a life resident and retired from the Seiberling Tire and Rubber Company. He was a longtime member of S.S. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Barberton and currently a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Norton. Stephen was a member of the Catholic War Veterans and a proud WWII Veteran having served with the 82nd Airborne Division. He was also an avid sports fan and Notre Dame Football fan.


Preceded in death by his beloved wife Anne (nee Sefranko); parents Charles and Julia; and his siblings Kalman, Michael, Mary, Alex, John, Frank, Anthony, Julie and Sister Mary Benigna (Rose); Survivors include his sons Stephen, Louis and Michael (Sue Ann); grandchildren Christopher, Elizabeth and Michael; brothers Joseph and Charles; and sister-in-law Hermina Sefranko.


Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Norton. Fr. Robert Jackson celebrant. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling Hours Tuesday from 5-8 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton where prayers will be said Wednesday morning at 9:30 A.M.
