Stephen T. Trpka
BARBERTON---Stephen T. Trpka, 81, passed away suddenly on May 15, 2011 at Summa Akron City Hospital.
He was born in Barberton where he was a life resident and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. after 26 years of service. He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Norton, where he was active in the Fellowship Club. Steve enjoyed playing golf and watching Barberton Sports Teams and the Cleveland Indians. He was also a proud Army Veteran having served during the Korean War.
Preceded in death by his daughter Rebecca; daughter-in-law Pamela Trpka; and sister Sue Mileff; Survivors include his son Darrell (fiance. Karen) of Doylestown; grandson Jeremy; brother Paul of Barberton; sisters Annie Hunsicker of Barberton, Kathryn Pinter of Norton, Mary Horvath of Portage Lakes and Betty Ferry of Tennessee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held 11 A.M. on Thursday, May 19, 2011, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 5451 S. Cleve-Mass. Rd., Norton. Rev. John D. Mashek, officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling Hours Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton.
