Susie (Dangelo) Durieux

Susie (Dangelo) Durieux, 98, passed away November 13, 2023. Sue was born in Akron where she had been a life resident and retired from P.P.G. Industries as an Executive Secretary. She was a member of the First Church of Christ in Barberton, the Red Hat Society, AARP and the Active Adult Center in Barberton. Sue was well loved by everyone that met her. She was always the life of the party and was the first to arrive and the last to leave. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling and being with her family. Preceded in death her husband Robert; parents Angelo and Bertha; brothers Ed and Al Dangelo; and sisters Margie Hammet and Irene Hamlin; She is survived by her children Dwayne (Kay) Durieux, Connie (Mike) Kosanovich and Gerald (Leah) Durieux; grandchildren Dwayne Durieux Jr., Danny (Trisha) Durieux, Lauren (Dan) Nelson, Gerald (Stephanie) Durieux Jr. and Jacob Durieux; and great-grandchildren Jarad, Ashley, Rylan and Rayna Durieux and Audrey Nelson. A Funeral Service for both Susie and Robert will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling Hours Friday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please take a friend or loved one out for coffee or just spend time with them.
