Teresa K. Testa

Teresa K. Testa, 95, of North Hill, passed away peacefully at her home August 20, 2014.

Teresa worked in the St. Martha's cafeteria for over 35 years treating the school children to her delicious homemade pizza and meatballs. After serving as a foster grandparent through the YMCA, she retired in 2010.

Family was of utmost importance to her. She enjoyed celebrating birthdays and planning family gatherings, which always included her homemade spaghetti, sauce and pepperoni bread. She started baking in early December every year to get her nearly two dozen different kinds of cookies done in time for Christmas.

Preceded in death by her husband Charles "Pat" Testa son, Thomas Testa and 4 brothers and one sister; Teresa is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rose and Ron Zaucha, of Tallmadge; son and daughter-in-law, John and Gail Testa, of Rootstown; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Jim Prinzo, of Barberton; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Katherine Limosana and Mary Ann Monk; sister-in-law, Marion Testa and numerous nieces and nephews.

Calling hours Friday, August, 22, 2014 from 9 to 10 A.M, at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church (formerly St. Martha's), 300 E. Tallmadge Ave., Akron with Mass of Christian Burial immediately following. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family, asks donations be made in her name to the charity of your choice.
