NORTON---Theodore George “Ted” Hornyak
Theodore George “Ted” Hornyak was born in Barberton to Michael and Helen (Plancsak) Hornyak on February 22, 1931. After graduating from Barberton High School, he served in the Navy, them was employed by and retired from the US Postal Service. Ted was a hard worker and a devout Byzantine Catholic. He loved dogs and enjoyed listening to his polkas. Ted was devoted to what he loved most, his family and his church.
Preceded in death by his wife Anne (Stopar) Hornyak, brothers Daniel and Eugene Hornyak. He is survived by his siblings, Catherine (Don) Charley Fisher, Michaelena (Bill) Eckman, Michael (Brenda) Hornyak, Mary Jane Hornyak and Paul Hornyak. He leaves behind children Ted Hornyak and Barb Yeager, grandchildren Bethany (Randall) Saunders and Nathan Yeager, great-grandchildren Jeremiah, Elijah and Rebekah Saunders, extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of Doylestown Health Care Center.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 5 to 7 pm at SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton with Parastas service at 7 pm. Byzantine Catholic Burial Services at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 1051 Robinson Ave., Barberton on Thursday, December 29, 2022 with service at 10 am, with calling hours one hour prior. Interment at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Clinton. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Ted’s name to the St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church.
