Theodore “Ted” E. Lysiak, 97, passed away November 11, 2025.
Ted was born in Barberton where he was a Barberton/Norton resident all his life. He retired from P.P.G. Industries after 36 years of service. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, the Alliance of Poles, Holy Name Society and Knights of Columbus #1617. Ted was an avid musician and was inducted into the Cleveland Polka Hall of Fame. He loved fishing and was a wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Sophie; his loving wife Virginia; grandson Jeff Lysiak; granddaughter Anna Feltrup; and sister Cecelia Danko; Ted is survived by his sons Ted (Robin) and Frank (Lisa); daughters Virginia (Don) Pinkston, Marianne Royce and Barbara (Bill) Koppes; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
Ted’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204 Sixth St. NW., Barberton. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling Hours Friday from 5-7 p.m. at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Augustine Endowment Fund.
