Vincenza (Volpe) Koger

Vincenza "Enza" Koger, age 85, of Akron, Ohio, passed away on December 4, 2023. Enza was born on September 11, 1938. She will be remembered as a devoted, charitable, outgoing, and loving individual. Enza is survived by her sister, Cesaria (Volpe) Lancaster; daughters, Darlene (Koger) Lemay and Kathy (Koger) Guthrie; sons Paul Koger and Jeff Koger; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, many treasured nieces and nephews and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Porter "Harry" Koger, father Giuseppe Volpe, mother Marzia (del Giudice) Volpe, and brothers Sam and Stan Volpe, step-son Mark Koger.
Enza was a dedicated educator who made a lasting impact on her students at Ellet High School and Hyre Middle School where she taught American History. After retirement, Enza was a member of the Red Hat Society, enjoyed engaging in various hobbies and was a zealous volunteer.

A Catholic Church service will be held at St. Francis de Sales Parish 4019 Manchester Rd. Akron, OH 44319 at 1:30pm for viewing, service will start at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 9, 2023.
