BARBERTON---Virginia S. Kerechanin, nee Pramik, 85, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2010 at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton, Ohio. Born in Fullerton, Pennsylvania, she resided in Barberton most of her life where she graduated at the top of her class from Barberton High School. She worked at Sears Roebuck and Yoder Brothers where she retired after 17 years. She was a member of the former Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church where she served as the treasurer of St. Anne's Society for many years. She most recently attended Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Suffering from dementia, Virginia lived with her daughter Sue for the past eight years and attended CYO Adult Day Services. She enjoyed weekend trips with her family to Catawba Island as well as classical movies and musicals and sweets. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Charles; two sisters and two brothers. Survivors include her sons, Charles (Donna) of Barberton, Chad of Doylestown and Chris (Cathy) of Greer, South Carolina; daughters Sue (Mike) Sovacool of Barberton, Karen (Bob) Lynch of Norton and MariAnn (Dwayne) Glenn of Lakeville, Minnesota; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; 5 brothers; two sisters; and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 8, 2010, 10 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave, Norton. Rev. Robert Jackson celebrant. Interment at St. Nicholas Cemetery. Calling Hours Thursday from 5-8 PM at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton where prayers will be said Friday morning at 9:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to CYO Adult Day Services.
