Willard M. Frase

Willard "Bill" M. Frase, 87, passed away October 11, 2014 at Bath Manor. Bill was born in Marshallville and had been an area resident most of his life. He lived in Florida for 23 years after his retirement then moved back to Akron in 2001. He retired in 1978 from the Babcock and Wilcox Co. after 32 years of service. Bill was also a proud Veteran of the Coast Guard having served during WWII.


Preceded in death by his parents Earl and Minnie; son Kenneth; grandson Micah Frase; great-grandson Carter Foster; brothers Wilbur, Leonard, Boyd and Alton; and sister Iva Frase; Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Stella H.; son Gary (Susan) Frase; daughter Kimberly (David) Dees; daughter-in-law Ruth Ann Frase; stepsons Michael (Janice) Vujas and Joseph (Kimberly) Vujas; stepdaughter Angela (Howard) Tuck; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren, 18- step-great-grandchildren; and brother Lester (Grace) Christy.


Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 11 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 P.M. Rev. Aleksa Pavichevich officiating. Burial at Lakewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Summa or your favorite charity.
