BARBERTON---William J. Angst, 91, passed away May 12, 2014 at The Village at St. Edward.
Bill was born in Barberton where he lived most of his life and retired from P.P.G. Industries after 37 years of service. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Barberton Moose Lodge 759 and Hungarian Club. He was also a life member of VFW Post 1066 and American Legion Post 407. Bill was a proud Army Veteran having served during WWII and flew on the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. in May of 2009.
Preceded in death by his brother Elton; sister Mary Nice; and stepson Robert Kamenar; Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years Margaret K.; stepsons James (Linda) Kamenar of Barberton and John (Luanne) Kamenar of Brunswick; stepdaughters Nancy Lynne and Linda (Ronald) Schueler all of Phoenix; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and cousin Larry Angst.
The family wishes to thank the staff at The Village at St. Edward, nurses aide Nicole Wilson-Dumas and the aides from Hospice.
Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Interment at 12:30 P.M. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
