"TOGETHER AGAIN"

Bill "Bulldog" Richards crossed the start/finish line for the last time Monday, November 25th, 2024. He is survived by his loving sons Robert Richards (Julie), Billy Richards (Nicole), brother Marty Richards (Nancy), 9 grandchildren Taisha,Tyler,Alex,Alyssa,Kayden,Lexie, Brooklynn,Scott and Steven as well as great grandson Jasper Richards. Numerous family members,in-laws,nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by mother Thomasine Richards (Scanlon) and father Walter Richards,His loving wife of 42 years Elaine V. Richards (Witwer), daughter Donna Thompson, grandson Shawn Thompson, beloved dog "Shy," and many dear friends.

As children our Dad was our rock,the center of our universe and our hero. He taught us love and kindness, while showing us how to become men and protect our families. He was the "baddest man alive" to us and many others. He was the one who could fix anything and make it all better.

He was an avid race car enthusiast. He drove many cars over the years and worked side by side with many of the drivers at Norton Raceway Park (formally known as Barberton Speedway). You could find him there on any given Saturday night as a driver,crew chief,pit crew, or just trying to help someone out. He will be dearly missed by many.

Calling Hours for Bill will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2024 from 3-5 p.m. at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Funeral Service to follow at 5:00 p.m. Burial will take place on Monday, December 2, 2024 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 12:15 p.m. Please meet at the cemetery.
