Zarko Philip Panich

WADSWORTH---Zarko Philip Panich, 92 of the Wadsworth/Barberton area passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011. He was born in Akron to the late George and Mary Panich. Philip was a lifetime employee of Goodyear and retired in 1983. He was a proud Army veteran having served during WWII for 4 years and 11 months mostly in the Philippines. Preceded in death by his brothers Milan and George; Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years Leona; children Karen Rupert, Jerry Panich and Nancy (Bruce) Short and grandchildren Kristen Rupert and Nicholas Short. A Graveside Service will be held Thursday April 21, 2011, 1:00 P.M., at Lakewood Cemetery, W. Waterloo Rd, Akron, Fr. Kerul-Kmec officiating.
