BARBERTON---Amy L. Rine, 63, passed away November 13, 2021.
Amy was born in Barberton and had been an area resident all her life. She graduated from Stark State College and worked as a medical transcriptionist. Amy was a member of Grace Bible Church where she was very active with various youth groups and children’s ministries, was the director of the Vacation Bible School and in the Bell Choir. She was also active in the Barberton Youth Football League running the concessions. She loved sewing, baking and doing crafts with her grandkids. Overall, she loved spending time with kids.
Preceded in death by her parents Warren Lowther and Marian Stobaugh; infant daughter Elizabeth; and father and mother-in-law Charles M. and Nancy Rine; She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Gregory O.; sons Andrew M. (Allison), Thomas C. and Joseph G.; daughter Erin R.; grandchildren Leah, Brooklynn, Gabriella, Charles, Connor and Bryce; step-father Charles R. Stobaugh; sisters Margaret “Peggy” (Paul) Higgins, Mary “Beth” Coates, Josephine Mastin and Darlene (Roger) Shaffer; brothers David (Linda) Lowther and Rick (Claudia) Stobaugh; numerous nieces and nephews; and longtime family friend and neighbor Marilyn Swain.
Amy’s Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Bible Church, 5781 Manchester Rd., New Franklin. Pastor Cary Duckett officiating. Calling Hours Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton.
