Brenda Kay (Headrick) McGee

Brenda Kay (Headrick) McGee was born on October 15, 1957 to Elmer Sr. and Lois Headrick. Our mom lost her battle with cancer on October 3, 2023 and will be missed by many loved one.

Brenda loved to go fishing, gambling, fixing everything and anything and most of all loved her family. She was surrounded by a large support group of family and friends that loved her dearly.

Brenda is survived by her daughter Gatha Stover; son Dean Stover; daughter-in-law Holly Stover; grandchildren Brooklynn Small, Cheyanne Small, Jathan Claitt and Hunter Stover (fiancé Megan); great-grandchildren Oaklee Stover, Josephine Stover, Orias McCune and Tori McCune. She is also survived by her brothers Doug Headrick, Jimmy (Kim) Headrick, Elmer Headrick Jr. (Dawn Gadel), Eddie (Melanie) Headrick, Gary (Becky) Headrick and David (Kathy) Headrick; sister Sue Jackson; and also countless nieces, nephews and her boyfriend Bob Hoge who all loved her.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents Elmer Sr. and Lois; husband David J. McGee; and brothers Kenny and Keith Headrick.

Our mother was a free spirit with a huge heart. She never met a stranger and would help anyone in need. She will be missed beyond what words can describe. Her beautiful smile would light up any room she walked into. The tremendous love she gave to us all will forever stay in our hearts. Heaven has gained a beautiful soul. “We Love You Mom.”

A Celebration of Life will be held on her birthday, October 15, 2023 from 2-6 p.m. at Rockton #316, 409 W. Main St., Kent, OH 44240.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 2580 Romig Rd., Akron.
