Bret Anthony Binns, 44, of Mansfield has received his reserved seat at the Big House as of July 28, 2023.
Bret was born on June 29, 1979 to Dan and Lizabeth (Honeycutt) Binns in Akron. He was employed by Action Super Abrasives where he “serenaded” and entertained his co-workers for over 20 years.
Bret will always be remembered as the life of the party, with the biggest smile, best laugh and funniest jokes. He had an enormous love for his family, especially his children, the kids he coached in football and soccer over the years, his pets, football and a good meal. Bret will be deeply missed by all those who were blessed to have known him.
Bret was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts, uncles and many loved ones. He is survived by his parents Dan and Lizabeth; the love of his life and mother of his children Kristen Masters; his children, Gage, Lainey and Blake; sister Michelle Huff and her children Bryana, Brendan and Ryan; and many others.
All those who knew Bret knew how much of a giver he was. He has given the ultimate gift by choosing to be an organ donor. Through the help of LifeBanc, Bret will be giving eight or more families the gift of life.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. A short Memorial Service will follow at 6:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be available directly after the service.
For those wanting to give, a memorial fund has been set up for Bret’s children. Checks can be mailed or dropped off at Mechanics Bank, 980 Ashland Road, Mansfield, OH 44905 or online contributions can be made using Venmo, @Kristen-Masters-2.
