Carol Jane Villers Senderak Vargo, 75, passed away peacefully at her home on April 24, 2023. She fought a 4 year long battle with Primary Peritoneal cancer. Born April 8, 1948 in Barberton, Ohio, she was the only daughter of Virgil and Mildred Villers. Carol lived in the Norton area most of her life. She worked at Wade’s Market, Leach's Meats and Sweets and Norton City Schools where she gave away free cookies to the kids she liked. Carol is preceded in death by her husband Francis (Shad), parents Virgil and Mildred Villers, brother Dwayne Villers, and sister in law Helen Villers. She is survived by her beloved mountain man, Tony Vargo, dog Dolly (named after Dolly Parton of course), sons Greg (Amy), Jeff and daughter Jennifer, grandchildren Delaney (Eric), Lindzy (Brandon), Hailey, Luke, Melana, brothers Jack (Rose), Virgil (Judy), Jerry (Shelley), many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Her brothers called her Ootie, a nickname given by her brother Virgil. Mom never met a stranger. She was always happy to lend a hand, whether it was cutting hair, making halloween costumes, or volunteering to cook meals for the needy, she was always there. She had the best sense of humor and was a firecracker. I remember coming home from the livestock auction where she had bid and won 3 baby pigs that we held in our arms while they squealed like crazy in the back of the pick up truck to bring them home. She had the friendliest cows that we would take for walks down the road to visit the neighbors. The week before her big 75th birthday party she got all the tattoos she had been wanting. She was a frequent shopper of Amazon and the drivers knew her by name. There was nothing better than a day of shopping. Family and friends meant everything to Mom. She was at every event that her kids were involved in: football, cheer, tennis, band, plays, you name it. Mom loved to sew, crochet, plant flowers and race the neighbor on their riding lawn mowers. Some of her best memories were camping in West Virginia for the family reunion, catching the biggest Muskie in Canada, fishing with Tony and having a house full of people over for parties. Mom lived her life exactly how she wanted, including picking her own "urn." . She had her final birthday party with 100 of her closest friends and family a week before she passed. She partied hard, saw her loved ones, and was ready to leave this mortal plane. She passed away on April 24th, her and Dad's wedding anniversary. She definitely planned that. She may not be here on earth, but she told us she'll send signs to let us know she's still watching over us.
