Charles D. Braswell

CHARLES DWIGHT BRASWELL, 80 years old of Barberton, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on November 1st, 2022. Charlie was born on June 2, 1942 to the parents of Zelma and Gladys Braswell of Eva, Alabama. Charlie lived in Barberton, Ohio for the past 72 years of his life. He was a proud graduate of Barberton High School Class of 1960 and a graduate from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy in 1968. Charlie worked as a retail pharmacist in the Akron area, serving his many customers. Charlie retired from the Norton Acme Pharmacy in 2010 after a 45 year career. Charlie loved attending and following Barberton Magics Basketball and Ohio State Buckeyes Football. He loved spending time with his family, cooking up holiday meals and golfing with his son and grandson. He attended Grace Church of Norton for 40 years. Charlie is survived by his loving and dedicated wife Lynn (Williams) of 52 years, his three children Heather (Matt) Eland of Columbus, Dan (Lynne) Braswell of Doylestown, Holly (Billy) Burke of Henrico, VA and his greatest joys, his 4 grandsons, Braydan, Peyton, Dylan and Parker. He was loved by many family members, friends and customers along the way. Charlie is preceded in death by his parents Zelma and Gladys Braswell, his mother and father in law Ivor and Margaret Williams and his brother in law Allan Williams. The family wants to thank Dr. John Hays and his team at The James Cancer Hospital for their wonderful and compassionate care for Charlie over the past 5½ years and Lifecare Hospice of Wooster for their compassionate end of life care. Family and friends will gather on Monday, November 7, 2022 from 11 a.m. 1:00 p.m. at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Robert Combs, officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
