NORTON-- (Loyal Oak)---Charles (Chuck) Ehrich passed away Wednesday, March 18th, 2020 in Barberton, Ohio at the age of 77. He was born February 19th, 1943 in Akron, Ohio to Gladys (Hughes) and Elton Ehrich. A motorcycle advocate, Chuck belonged to as many as 3 sidecar motorcycle clubs at one time. He enjoyed traveling, camping, poker runs and his family. He served in the US Navy for nearly 6 years and while stationed in the Azore Islands (Terceira Island) for more two years he met the love of his life, Maria (Teresa), and they have been married for 55 years. Chuck was prideful, a hard worker, and would do anything for family and friends. He retired in 2008 working the last 28 years for Metro (RTA) as a diesel mechanic. He is preceded in death by son, John, parents, Gladys and Elton Ehrich, and most recently his brother-in-law/BFF Paul Butash. He is survived by his love, Teresa, daughters, Suzy (Keith) Stumpf, Lucy (Gary) Ehrich, and Michelle (Rick) Thome, 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Chuck was a proud resident of “Loyal Oak” as his ancestors (Pennsylvania Dutch) migrated from Lehigh Valley, PA in 1837 during the Ohio Land Grant. Cremation has taken place, however Chuck’s burial will be at a later time due to the Covid-19 Virus congregation restrictions.
