BARBERTON---Danton “Danny” F. Adair Sr., 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 26, 2021.
Danny was born in Barberton where he was a life resident and retired from the Barberton Police Department after 33 years of service. He loved his job and considered himself a “Peace Officer.” He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and was a Navy Veteran who proudly served on the USS Shangri La in Vietnam. Danny loved camping and was a huge football fan but most importantly, spending time with his family was his passion.
Preceded in death by his parents Newman and Mary; He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Allyson R. (Wooley); sons Bill (Lisa) and Danny Jr.; daughter Ashley (Todd) Hone; grandchildren Billy, Danny, Sophia, Lillian, Addison and Gracelyn; brothers Newman Jr. (Linda), Robin (Paula) and Tim (Connie); sisters Susan Adair, Mary Kay (Doug) Haynes and Carrie (Bob) Okolish; and numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204 Sixth St. NW., Barberton. Private Interment on Monday at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Calling Hours Friday, January 29, 2021 from 5-8 pm at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton.
