Obituary
David L. Sandvik, 65, passed away August 14, 2023 after a courageous battle with Lewy Body Demetia.
David was born and raised in Barberton where he graduated from Barberton High School in 1975. David then relocated to Littlefield, TX in the mid 90's where he was a diesel mechanic. Dave loved working on cars and trucks and took pride in working on his 1935 Dodge. He retired from Fed Ex in October of 2022 and moved back to Barberton.
Preceded in death by his parents Joseph L. and Norma J. Sandvik; he is survived by his sisters Sandy Sandvik and Terese (Bill) Britton all of Barberton and nephew Kenneth J. Atkinson of Barberton.
The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors at Summa Hospice for their loving care of David.
Dave's Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Shoreline Community Church, 790 Carnegie Ave., Akron, OH 44314.
