Gail L. Williams

Gail Lynn Williams, age 71, of Barberton, passed away on Thursday, July 27th, 2023 at her residence.

She was born on September 14, 1951 in Barberton to the late Owen “Bud” and Elaine (Mitchell) Williams, and was a lifelong resident of Barberton. She graduated from Barberton High School with the class of 1970.

She was a member of Johnson United Methodist Church in Norton. She worked as a manager at McDonalds for over 15 years, then took a job in Accounts Payable at Sterling Jewelers where she worked for another 15+ years.

Gail was known as the “fun aunt” and would always let her nieces and nephews do whatever they wanted, whether that be renting movies, buying far too much candy, or just hanging out at her house and watching the Disney channel. She loved to play the lottery, enjoyed going on road trips, reading, and spending time with her family. In recent years, she looked forward to meeting with the fellow ladies at her apartment building every day and spending time together.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Chad Williams, Jenn Daugherty, and Heather Tranthem and their families.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Ronald and Dave Williams, sisters Reola Messenger and Judy Lenihan, and a nephew Glenn Wisener.
