J. Marilyn Swain

J. Marilyn Swain, 94, passed away November 10, 2023.

Marilyn was born in Barberton where she was a life resident and retired from the Ohio Brass Company after 35 years of service.

Preceded in death by her parents Warren and Hazel; brother Jack; and sister-in-law Helen; She is survived by her nieces Val (Ernie) Carpenter, Marcene Tesmer and Jolene (Kurt) Maurer; several great and great-great nieces and nephews; her faithful companion “Sprite”; and many neighborhood friends who cared for her for many years. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Marilyn’s Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 17, 2023 at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Burial at Copley Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held Thursday from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
