It is with broken hearts that we announce, James W. Roeske, 71, passed away April 8, 2022. James was born in Buffalo, NY, was a graduate of Williamsville South High School Class of 1968 and had been an area resident for most of his life. He worked in sales at Magnetek for over 29 years and at Granger for 14 years. Jim was a member of Grace Church, Norton Campus and loved photography, gardening and birds. He was always smiling, was loved by everyone, had a great sense of humor and loved his family. James was also a proud Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Preceded in death by his parents John and Kathleen; and his first wife Beverly; He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Sandra L. (Keener); daughter Rachal Roeske; stepsons Lloyd (Min) Thorpe and Timothy Sells; stepdaughter Lisa Sells; grandchildren Tyler Ross, Nathan Schimmels and Aden Hatcher; brothers John and Rick Roeske (Cathy); and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2022 at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Pastor Robert Combs officiating. Calling Hours Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the service at 1. Private Burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lymphoma Association.
