BARBERTON---Jean A. Metz, 87, passed away May 23, 2022 at Pleasant View Health Care Center.
Jean was born in Oak Hill, OH and had been a Barberton resident most of her life. She was a charter member of Pilgrim Holiness Church and currently attended Grace Church-Norton Campus. Jean loved gospel music and was blessed with a rich, strong Alto voice, which she used to glorify God throughout her life and in her travels with the Paul Ankrim Quartet. God commanded Jean Ann serving him by being a devoted wife and mother and to use her special ability in Nursery Ministry.
Preceded in death by her husband Oris; granddaughter Julie McCrory; and parents Roy and Freda Ankrim; She is survived by her daughters Diane Chaney and Connie Metz; grandsons Anthony (Lindsey) Chaney and Stephen (Shannon) Chaney; great-grandchildren Ashley, Grace, Gabrielle, Thomas and Adrianna; great-great-grandson Mason; brother Paul (Barbara) Ankrim; sister Barb Ankrim; many nieces and nephews; and a host of Christian friends.

Jean’s Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Road West, Barberton. Pastor Robert Combs officiating. Calling Hours Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31st at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
