BARBERTON---Joseph S. Jursik, 96, passed away November 5, 2021 at his residence.
Joe was born in Middleton, OH and had been a Barberton resident all his life. He retired from the Sieberling Tire and Rubber Co and was a proud Navy Veteran, having served in the Pacific during WWII. Joe enjoyed golfing, fishing, woodworking and keeping his yard in beautiful. He was also an avid Barberton Magics Sports fan.
Preceded in death by his wife Mary in August 2021; grandson JJ Maczko; and numerous brothers; He is survived by his daughters Becky Jursik and Janet Maczko; son Jim (Cindy); granddaughters Courtney (Mark) Skelton, Brittany Jursik (Ryan Kane) and Jocelyn; great-grandchildren Kingston and Clementine Skelton and Aaron Kane; and brother Steve Jursik.
Joe’s Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Fr. Bill Browne officiating. Private interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Calling Hours Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
